How this Slotoro guide treats the personal data of its readers

Published Updated

This notice explains how the editorial team behind this guide handles personal data. The guide is an information service for readers in the United Kingdom. It is not a casino, it opens no player accounts and it takes no payments, so the personal data it deals with is limited to two things: what a reader chooses to send to the editors, and what a reader’s browser shares when a page is opened.

1. Who is responsible

The editorial team that publishes this guide is the controller of the personal data described below. The team can be reached at [email protected]. Slotoro, the casino, is a separate business owned and operated by Wiraon B.V.; it decides for itself how it handles the data of its own players. The guide has no registration, log-in or subscription, so there is no reader account in which data could sit.

2. What the guide handles

DataHow it reaches the editorsWhy it is usedBasis under UK GDPR
E-mail address and message textA reader writes to the editorial addressTo read and answer the messageLegitimate interests in running a reader service
Details of a correction request: page, figure, what Slotoro showsIncluded in that messageTo check the page and correct itLegitimate interests in keeping pages accurate
Browser and device informationSent automatically by the reader’s browser when a page loadsTo deliver the page to the device in front of the readerLegitimate interests in delivering the page to the reader’s device

The editors do not ask for gambling account details, passwords or payment card numbers. If a message contains them, the reader is asked to send a version without them.

3. What happens when you follow a link to Slotoro

A link from a page to Slotoro takes the reader off this guide. From that point Slotoro’s own privacy policy applies to Slotoro’s pages, forms and account, and this notice does not cover them. Slotoro’s policy says its service does not address anyone under the age of 18.

4. Cookies, browser settings and profiling

A browser can accept, limit or delete cookies through its own settings, and the guide works from what the browser sends. If a page loads content from another provider, that provider may set its own cookies, and its policy governs them. The editors make no automated decisions about readers and build no profile of an individual’s gambling.

5. Who sees the data

The messages are read by the editors. They are not sold, they are not used for advertising to the person who wrote them, and they are not passed to Slotoro unless the reader asks for that. Service providers that carry e-mail or host the pages process data only on the editors’ instructions.

6. How long data is kept

A message is kept for as long as it takes to answer it and to record any correction made to a page as a result. After that it is deleted. If a reader asks for deletion sooner, the request is handled as described in section 9.

7. Security

Access to the editorial mailbox is limited to the editors. Readers can reduce the risk on their side by keeping gambling account details out of any e-mail. The editors never request them and treat any that arrive as an error to be removed.

8. Transfers outside the United Kingdom

E-mail and hosting services can store data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the transfer is made with the safeguards that UK data protection law requires.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law a reader can ask:

  1. to see the personal data held about them;
  2. to have inaccurate data corrected;
  3. to have data erased, where the law allows;
  4. to restrict how data is used, or to object to a use based on legitimate interests.

To use any of these rights, write to [email protected] and say which right you wish to use. The editors may ask for enough information to confirm who is asking before they release or erase anything. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk, which can also be reached on 0303 123 1113.

10. Children and young people

The guide is written for adults. The minimum gambling age in Great Britain is 18, and the guide is not directed at anyone younger. A parent or guardian who finds a message from a child can ask for it to be erased through the address above.

11. Changes to this notice

Effective date: 12 October 2026. The notice is revised in place, and the wording on this page is the wording that applies. If the way the guide handles personal data changes, the new wording replaces the old. A change that affects how a reader’s data is used will be reflected here before it takes effect.

12. Where to send questions, requests and corrections

Questions about this notice, requests under section 9 and corrections to a page all go to [email protected]. A reader worried about their own gambling can call the National Gambling Helpline (GamCare) on 0808 8020 133, free and open 24/7.
